Ruthless Conteh scores six goals against Lamboi FC to set a landmark history

Alie Conteh became the first Sierra Leonean player to score six goals in a single match as the Cavaliers crushed Lamboi FC 6-0 in the Sierra Leone Premier League on Thursday.

The 20-year-old FC Kallon goal merchant netted five goals in the first half, giving his side a comfortable lead at the break against their opponent.

He slotted in one later in the second half to seal the win and move top of the goal. He now has 14 goals, one more ahead of Bo Rangers, Abu Komeh who has 13 goals.

It was an afternoon of records for the young striker who scored the fastest hat trick in 10 minutes and was the only player to score five goals in the first half in the history of the league.

With the whooping 6-0 win over Lamboi FC, Conteh restored pride to his side as he powered the Cavaliers to winning ways after suffering a narrow 2-1 defeat to league leaders Bo Rangers in their last away match in Bo town.

Lamboi FC won the first leg 1-0 when they hosted FC Kallon in Lungi a few months ago, but it was a disastrous day in their camp as they suffered the heaviest defeat in the league.

FC Kallon will face Wilberforce Strikers on Sunday, whilst Lamboi FC will be playing against Wusum Stars on the same day.
