Ballie Kamara slotted home a vital goal from the penalty spot to fire relegation-threatened FC Johansen to a 1-0 win over Diamond Stars in a nail-biting encounter at the Trade Centre field in Freetown on Monday afternoon.

Kamara converted a deserving penalty in the 90+4’ minutes during the additional time to help his side secure all three points to boost the chances of avoiding an unprecedented relegation from the Sierra Leone Premier League.

The crucial win signifies the intensity and determination displayed by FC Johansen as they fight to secure a safe position in the ongoing League.

The match was perfectly encapsulated, as both teams fought tooth and nail to win. However, the Dream Chasers who are currently languishing in the relegation zone, are taking each game at a time in their quest to stay in the country’s top-flight football, with the expectation to get 9 points in their remaining three matches.
