Coach Amidu Karim expresses optimism ahead of Zambia clash

The head coach for Sierra Leone U23 national team, Amidu Karim is looking forward to get a favorable result against Zambia in their return leg encounter in the TotalEnergies AFCON 2023 qualifiers slated for Saturday 29th October 2022 at the Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

Karim’s men completed a successful training on Thursday afternoon at the Sunset Stadium in Lusaka, ahead of Saturday’s return leg against the host.

According to the FA media, Coach Amidu Karim expressed great optimism about his team following the level of fitness and agility the boys showed during their warmup session.

“The boys are looking bright and are adapting very well to the weather atmosphere here”.

The team is highly spirited in camp as the boys look forward to the match situation training tomorrow at the main bowl of the designated venue.

The first leg which Sierra Leone played on an artificial home ground in Liberia, owing to the lack of a CAF approved stadium in the country, ended 1-1.

Coach Amidu Karim is eying a good outcome that will possibly see him walk out of the Heroes Stadium with an amazing result that will boost the team’s hope of progressing to the next round of the qualifiers.
