Leone Rock Metal signs US$80,00 sponsorship deal with Sierra Leone Premier League Board
The Sierra Leone Premier League Board has on Monday 16, October 2023, announced that a Chinese-owned company, Leone Rock Metal Group will be the flagship sponsor of the 2023/24 men’s premier league.
This came after the Premier League Board signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Leone Rock Metal Group, agreeing on a deal worth US$80,000 (Le 1,930,000) at the Radisson Blu hotel in Freetown.
In addition to that, they will include prizes for the Player of the Month and Coach of the Month awards, along with providing kits for all referees in the Premier League.
With such development, it is crystal clear that the league will be named the ‘Leone Rock Premier League’.
During the press briefing, the Chairman of the PLB, Victor Lewis announced the first week of fixtures for the league which will commence on 3rd November 2023.
