SLPL midweek wrap: Lions and Edwards get back to winning ways, Tiger stuns Diamond Stars, Republicans beat Johansen, and Warriors punish Kamboi Eagles at home

The Sierra Leone Premier League match day 22 Wednesday fixtures wrapped up with victories in all five matches played across various venues in the country.

Old Edwardians return to winning ways following their whooping 3-1 victory over Wilberforce Strikers at the Parade playing field in Central Freetown.

Gibriella Osu Kamara Emmanuel Ansumana and Joseph N. Conteh provided a goal each to secure the 3 points for Old Edwardians in the match which was widely dominated by the May Park Boys.

Wilberforce on the other hand, tried their best to come back in the match after Foday Kamara takes the score to 2-1, but Old Edwardians quickly get one back into the net to seal the win.

East End Lions FC recorded a narrow 1-0 win against Lamboi FC at the Trade Centre playing ground in Kissy, Dockyard. Fans favorite forward, Edward Thullah fondly called Putu slotted home the winner from the penalty spot to earn the Killers the victory.

East End Tigers bounced from their winless run to rally a 2-3 away win over Diamond Stars at the Koidu town field in Kono. The home side work hard to get a point from the match, but Tiger responded with firmness as they were hungry to win.

In Port Loko, Bai Bureh Warriors stuns struggling Kamboi Eagles 1-0 to earn a deserving win at home. The Warriors settled well in the match and reacted positively to all the pressure coming from the visitors to grab the 3 points.

FC Johansen was beaten 1-0 at home by Real Publicans FC. The fierce encounter rendered the Dream Chasers powerless as Republicans resists all the pressure from their attack to win with a clean sheet.

FC Johansen fought harder to level the scores, but their efforts went in vain as Real Republicans emerged victorious.
