Kei Kamara claims sole ownership of third MLS all-time goal scorer

Former Sierra Leone striker, Kei Kamara is now officially third on the list of all-time goal scorers in the history of MLS, following his opening goal for CF Montréal against New England.

Kamara, with his 5th goal of the season is now third in the league history with 135 career goals in 384 appearances in the MLS.

The 37-years-old former Sierra Leone international claimed sole ownership of the third MLS’s all-time goals scorer on the list following CF Montreal 4-0 home victory over New England on Saturday night at the Saputo Stadium.

Kamara netted the opener for CF Montreal in the 26’ minutes, before Romell Quioto bags in a brace in the 39’ and 55’ minutes and Matko Miljevic finds the net in stoppage-time from the penalty spot to give the hosts 3 points and a convincing win.

“It feels great, it been a while coming I am happy about today, because really, it was a full stadium and to score in front of these fans, was awesome”.

“To witness this moment, was amazing. That’s what I am playing for, so it’s good” Kei Kamara said after the match.  

Montréal sitting second in the Eastern Conference table as they move closer to wrapping up a playoff in the Audi MLS Cup which is slated for mid-October.
