Idriss Kanu joins Barnet FC from Peterborough United

Barnet FC has completed the signing of Sierra Leone forward, Idriss Kanu from Peterborough United for an undisclosed fee.

“Idris Kanu is a Barnet player after today completing a move from Peterborough United Football Club for an undisclosed fee”. The club announced on Thursday.

According to the club, Kanu arrival will boost their attack for the 22/23 season as The Bees currently sit 2nd in the Vanarama National League.

Kanu has previously played for Aldershot Town, Port Vale, Boreham Wood and Northampton Town and has proven himself as a threat across the pitch. He can play either out-wide or centrally.

The young and exciting player will bring energy to Barnet going forward and has already met up with his new teammates during training on Thursday.

“I am really excited to be here and cannot wait to start playing some games.

“I have come here to get goals, assists and to contribute to a winning team, at the end of the season, I hope we can be up there”, Kanu said during his unveiling.

Barnet FC Head Coach, Dean Brennan, said: “I am delighted to sign Idris, he is a player that will bring plenty to our team and I am excited to see his performances.

“He joins us at a great time and his previous experience will be really welcome.”

Barnet has confirmed that the 22-year-old versatile forward will wear the No. 11 shirt for the Bees.
