Bo Rangers drop points at home, Bai Bureh Warriors, Central Parade and FC Johansen win

Freetonians SLIFA FC avoided defeat at home to league leaders, Bo Rangers FC on Saturday as they settled for a goalless draw at the Bo Stadium.

The draw was a hindrance for the Rangers in the race for the title after dropping 2 vital points that could have stretched their lead on the table. However, they are yet, the team to beat in the league as they maintained their 13 games unbeaten run.

Freetonians SLIFA was deadly in the match, stopping the Elephants from scoring, whiles searching for a goal to end their winning run. But it was all futile as the league leaders showed class in defending to avoid conceding a goal at home.

Meanwhile, SLIFA is the fourth team to stop Bo Rangers FC from winning this season.  And that was their 4th draw since the start of the league.

It was a joyful afternoon for the Rangers fans, as their striker, Musa Noah Kamara (Tombo) returns to match actions following his loan move from Al Ittihad in Libya.

Tombo who was the top goal in the league last season is the fan’s favorite player, and he was greeted with rousing applause from the stands as he was welcomed to the arena again.  

In the other matches, Central Parade, Bai Bureh Warriors, and FC Johansen all recorded 1-0 wins against their opponents in the various venues they played.

Central Parade FC defeated Real Republicans 1-0 at the Parade playing field in Central Freetown, Bai Bureh Warriors FC got a 1-0 home win over unsettled Wusum Stars in the northern derby at the Port Loko town field, and the Dream Chasers, FC Johansen secured a vital away win over Lamboi FC at the Lungi town field in Lungi.
