Bo Rangers beat East End Tigers 2-1 to keep unbeaten streak alive

Bo Rangers FC maintained its lead at the top of the Sierra Leone Premier League table with a 2-1 win over East End Tiger at the Bo Stadium in Bo town on Saturday.

The Elephant’s goals came from Abu Komeh and Abu Bakarr Samoura in the first half as they extends their unbeaten streak to 15 matches in the first round of the league.

Joseph D. Kamara levels the score for the Tigers in the 11’ minutes but it wasn’t enough to scare Bo Rangers from winning following Samoura’s goal in the 22’ minutes that put the home side ahead.

The win saw Bo Rangers increase its points tally to 37 with 11 wins and 3 draws from 15 matches as they sit top of the table with 9 points ahead of closest rivals Mighty Blackpool who will be facing Kamboi Eagles away in Kenema in their next fixture.

Under the watchful eye of Coach Alhaji Foray, Bo Rangers FC has been very consistent with delivering good results for their fans at home and in matches played away.

Bo Ranger FC will be facing their closest title contenders, Mighty Blackpool in their next match in Freetown.

Meanwhile, Port Authority FC continue their good run as they record a vital 1-0 away win over Bai Bureh Warriors in Port Loko town to move 4th place on the table with 24 points from 15 matches.

Port Authority started the match well against the home side Bai Bureh Warriors who were nervous in the first 15 minutes with pressure from the Port strikers.

Foday Kai found the back of the net as he fires the Waterfront Boys to significant victory on a very tough away round.  

The Warriors tried to control the match, stopping Port Authority from scoring another goal with a solid defensive approach that denied the Waterfront Boys the opportunity to increase the scores.

The home side came close to levelling the scores with few chances, but couldn’t break into the defensive area of Port Authority who were also solid at the back.  

With the defeat, Bai Bureh Warriors sit in 7th place with 21 points from 15 matches played.
